About The Position

Electrical Controls Engineer, AMG Vanadium LLC, Byesville, OH. Dev & maintain all facets of industrial control systems (ICS). Comply w/ all safety & environmental policies & procedures. Design, implement & maintain ICS for mfg processes. Secure plant ICS from cyberattacks. Dev & program automation systems, incl HMI & PLCs. Recommend, plan & implement facility & equip installation & improvements. Doc all changes to software & hardware incl creating & revising schematics. Inspect installations & observe ops to ensure compliance w/ design & equip specs & safety standards. Support construction team & maintenance dept through tech consultation. Mge capital projs. Serve as liaison w/ suppliers, consultants & insurance reps. Serve a proj mgr for all ICS contractor projs. Ensure compliance w/ co policies & procedures as well as OSHA safety standards. Willing to work on-site w/ limited travel to co.s plants in same geographic area.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Electrical Eng, Electronic Eng, Comp Eng or CS
  • 7 yrs mfg exp
  • 3 yrs installation/set-up exp
  • 3 yrs PLC/HMI programming exp w/ Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Studio 5000 & Inductive Automation Ignition
  • 3 yrs equip testing/troubleshooting exp
  • 2 yrs of instrumentation exp
  • 2 yrs exp using CAD
  • 1 yr capital proj mgmt exp
  • 1 yr exp w/ mgmt of ICS contractor projs
  • 1 yr exp w/ ISO systems, NEC, NFPA, OSHA & EPA regs

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain all facets of industrial control systems (ICS)
  • Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Design, implement, and maintain ICS for manufacturing processes
  • Secure plant ICS from cyberattacks
  • Develop and program automation systems, including HMI and PLCs
  • Recommend, plan, and implement facility and equipment installation and improvements
  • Document all changes to software and hardware including creating and revising schematics
  • Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
  • Support construction team and maintenance department through technical consultation
  • Manage capital projects
  • Serve as liaison with suppliers, consultants, and insurance representatives
  • Serve as a project manager for all ICS contractor projects
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA safety standards
