Remora is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer to lead the development of the control systems within our mobile carbon capture device. This role will be crucial in designing, programming, and testing the system’s control architecture ensuring the efficient operation of the device from concept to production. You will play a key role in the development of hardware and software interfaces, as well as systems integration, while ensuring that design deliverables meet aggressive timelines. We’re a 50-person climate tech startup based in Detroit, MI, working on an innovative device that captures carbon emissions directly from the tailpipe of a semi-truck. By selling the captured CO2 to end-users and sharing revenue with our customers, we’re not only reducing emissions but also creating a new revenue stream. We’ve secured pilots with some of the world’s largest companies, including top trucking companies and Fortune 100 brands, and have raised funding from prominent investors such as Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Valor Equity Partners.
