The Electrical Controls Engineer Senior provides direction for electrical controls engineering standards throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves producing project documentation that includes prints and engineering files, supplier communications, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO's). The engineer maintains electrical control systems on production equipment, designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery. They read schematics and layouts and support best design protocol and analysis. The engineer contributes to the team with proven knowledge applicable to fields such as analog and digital sensors, PLC Controls, software design and development, and pneumatic controls. Additionally, they provide production support to maintain quality and production output to budgets, troubleshoot and design solutions to improve equipment reliability, and collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality, and outside suppliers during new product development stages. The engineer manages a range of smaller to complex projects from concept to completion, developing timelines and ensuring project success by maintaining timeline targets, budget responsibilities, and quality requirements. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
