About The Position

Responsible for executing product planning and support for electrical components and controls in AAON products. This role involves defining product definitions/specifications, completing competition analysis, managing Electronic Catalog (ECat) tables for assigned products, and maintaining tables and documentation for product details, such as bill of materials, piping, and electrical. The position also provides Engineering Applications support, technical Warranty and After-Market Sales support, and works with outside vendors for new/replacement components. Additional responsibilities include reading and reviewing electrical diagrams, evaluating, testing, and modifying unit components, preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and communicating new product information and IOM/Service Manual information to all necessary AAON departments. The role requires monitoring government regulations and code requirements, analyzing test data to ensure products meet DOE, ASHRAE, and AHRI, NEC and other requirements, and maintaining and building professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies. Travel may be necessary for third-party testing or product review at field test sites.

Requirements

  • Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
