Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology and (10) years of experience is required.
• Moderate knowledge of PLC, HMI and Controls Programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
• Motion Based Programming (Rockwell/Allen Bradley).
• Must have 10 years' experience (minimum).
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes 70E and 79 and 29 CFR 1910 OSHA Standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to motivate others to succeed.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required.
• Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) 'L' clearance.
• Works independently and with minimal guidance in most situations, interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices or solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc. is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review design and functional specifications.
• Develop test plans.
• Commission complex motion-based control systems.
• Perform and document control systems testing.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and implement solutions.
• Analyze plant processes for improvement and optimization.
