Solenis is seeking an Electrical & Control Specialist to support manufacturing operations through hands-on electrical, instrumentation, and controls work. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving electrical and control systems to ensure safe, reliable plant performance. The specialist will work collaboratively with a small technical team and interact with operations, maintenance, and engineering partners across the site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an electrical and/or instrumentation role within a manufacturing environment
  • Practical experience working with PLCs, industrial controls, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with industrial voltage systems (e.g., 240V / 480V)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms (e.g., MicroLogix, ControlLogix)
  • Exposure to SAP or a CMMS system
  • Additional experience with VFD configuration, advanced controls, or instrumentation calibration

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair industrial electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Support PLC-based control systems, VFDs, motors, and industrial control panels
  • Diagnose electrical and control issues and take appropriate corrective action
  • Assist with maintaining safe and compliant electrical systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to resolve equipment and process issues
  • Document work performed using site systems and maintenance tools
  • Follow site safety policies and standard operating procedures at all times
