Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience in construction inspection and maintenance, with a strong focus on electrical and automation systems.
Effective communication, both oral and written, with residents, businesses and public agencies.
Ability to travel throughout the northern Chicagoland area (own transportation).
Work in a team environment.
Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree in Construction Management Technology or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact between the owner, contractor, and electricians to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
Be on-site regularly to observe, measure, and document electrical and automation-related construction activities.
Inspect electrical and automation equipment and verify installations meet design and safety standards.
Perform acceptance testing for automation systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Attend construction progress meetings as the owner/engineer representative and provide technical input.
Edit and review engineering plans using AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
Prepare CAD plan sheet drawings and assist project engineers and managers with tasks throughout project delivery.
