About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager and Estimator in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical estimates and projects. This role involves estimating, managing project documentation, assisting with scheduling and budgeting, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, construction management, similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • National Electrical Code knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the electrical industry.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills preferred.
  • Bluebeam experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills preferred.
  • Bluebeam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Estimator: Work hand-in-hand with our seasoned Estimator to learn and oversee the entire estimate lifecycle.
  • Assist the Project Manager: Work with our seasoned Project Managers to oversee the entire project lifecycle – from procurement and engineering to subcontracting and installation.
  • Build Strong Customer Relations: We believe in fostering lasting client relationships. You'll have the chance to develop and maintain positive interactions, ensuring client satisfaction and an exceptional industry reputation.
  • Optimize Project Economics: Be part of the team that keeps projects on track economically while upholding our commitment to quality workmanship. Your contributions will directly impact our bottom line.
  • Master Project Documentation: Gain proficiency in preparing, processing, and managing all essential project documentation. This includes files, schedules, reports, billing, and more.
  • Complete Submittals and Close-Outs: Ensure project completion by handling submittals and close-outs meticulously.
