As a Senior Purchasing Agent supporting MC Deanâs growing businesses, your role will include: âFunctioning as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including MC Deanâs Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing. âWorking closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs, applying program/project management skills to assure the timely and efficient execution of MC Deanâs portfolio of projects. Your responsibilities will include: âProcurement planning during the bidding phase âUnderstanding contract specifications and bills of material âSourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors Developing comprehensive RFPâs âAnalyzing multiple quotes (scope leveling) Vendor Matrix; working with project and engineering team to confirm completeness of scope of service and supply âNegotiating and finalizing agreements âDeveloping the Procurement Plan âPost award, managing plan implementation âPost award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs, âTransferring bid phase documents and knowledge to the project team âEngaging with the project team on procurement planning & implementation âCapturing and communicating market intelligence across projects & programs âUnderstanding, evaluating, and incorporating current market conditions into procurement plans, including but not limited to: âPricing trends âLead times and logistical requirements âBest value opportunities âAlternative products opportunities (Material cost/Labor savings) âEvolving contract compliance requirements âReading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules. âTraveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendor as needed
