In this role, you will support Project Managers and team leads in executing all electrical aspects of data centre commissioning. You will serve as a key point of contact for electrical equipment, infrastructure, and control systems, ensuring high‑quality execution of testing, coordination, reporting, and field activities throughout commissioning phases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical commissioning on complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of IVC, PFC, FPT, and IST processes.
  • Ability to execute test scripts, collect test data, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with commissioning management tools (e.g., CxAlloy) and technical documentation.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety procedures, including LOTOTO, PTP, RAMS, and site SOPs.
  • Ability to review electrical designs and develop commissioning test scripts.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is required
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Execution of electrical commissioning activities, including Installation Verification Checks (IVC), Pre‑Functional Checks (PFC), Functional Performance Testing (FPT), and Integrated System Testing (IST).
  • Collection of functional and performance test data on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure, documenting issues through the Automated Commissioning Management System (CxAlloy).
  • Execute test scripts, report daily testing status, and coordinate field works with project teams and contractors.
  • Participate in daily planning meetings and provide updates to PM and leads.
  • Ensure safe execution of tasks, adhering to Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out (LOTOTO), PTP processes, RAMS documentation, and site SOPs.
  • Complete training requirements and support knowledge capture through Engineering Work Instructions and documentation reviews.
  • Perform technical reviews of electrical designs and develop test scripts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for commissioning progress and results.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role
