About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an Electrical Calibration Technician position for our client.
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Duration: Client Permanent Placement
Overview:
Join a hybrid lab/field role combining electronics troubleshooting, repair, and entry-level dimensional metrology. Perform accredited calibrations in our Charlotte lab and at customer sites, with hands-on electronics work and growth opportunities in advanced calibration.

Requirements

• 0–2 years hands-on electronics experience (coursework, certificate, or hobbyist OK).
• Basic soldering, wiring, and connector repair.
• Familiarity with dimensional tools and lab instruments.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certificate or associate degree in electronics or related field.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 concepts and NIST traceability.
• Calibration software experience (GAGEtrak, Qualer, IndySoft).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and verify instruments: multimeters, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Assist senior technicians on complex calibrations and field service.
• Maintain lab standards, prep equipment, and complete calibration reports/certificates.
• Travel to customer sites (~50%) to perform on-site calibrations.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
