The position involves participating in onsite facility evaluations and collaborating with engineers and field operational teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. The role requires creating detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other drafting tools. Responsibilities include developing and updating electrical layout plans, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control panel designs for natural gas distribution facilities such as compressor stations, metering stations, and pipeline installations. The candidate will review and incorporate markups, redlines, and revisions into drawings as directed by the engineering team, select materials and prepare material lists based on standards, specifications, operation requirements, and engineers’ direction. Additionally, the role involves performing calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity, ensuring design drawings meet company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements, and assisting engineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effective solutions.
