About The Position

We are seeking an Electrical CAD Designer, Early Career to join our growing team in our Washington D.C. (Chantilly, VA) or Atlanta, GA office. Exp Federal delivers full-service Architectural & Engineering and Design-Build solutions. You will be part of an expanding team that works collaboratively across our wider exp Federal design studios. As part of a project team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that keep you engaged and showcase your individual talents. Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering from accredited school required.
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience of Electrical Engineering design experience or recent graduate with internship experience in the electrical engineering field
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Building knowledge preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel for projects.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT Preferred. Working toward Electrical license desired.
  • Building knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of field inspections
  • Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for the installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
  • Working on building projects
  • Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Fire Protection, Architectural, Structural, Civil, etc.)
