We are seeking an Electrical CAD Designer, Early Career to join our growing team in our Washington D.C. (Chantilly, VA) or Atlanta, GA office. Exp Federal delivers full-service Architectural & Engineering and Design-Build solutions. You will be part of an expanding team that works collaboratively across our wider exp Federal design studios. As part of a project team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that keep you engaged and showcase your individual talents. Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering from accredited school required.
- 0 to 2 years’ experience of Electrical Engineering design experience or recent graduate with internship experience in the electrical engineering field
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Building knowledge preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel for projects.
Nice To Haves
- EIT Preferred. Working toward Electrical license desired.
- Building knowledge preferred.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling of field inspections
- Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staff
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for the installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Communicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying products
- Working on building projects
- Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Fire Protection, Architectural, Structural, Civil, etc.)
