TEKsystems is partnering with a leading electrical/low‑voltage contractor to add Electrical Cable Helpers to active commercial projects. This is a great fit for candidates who have hands‑on experience pulling cable and installing devices—and want to grow alongside licensed electricians and low‑voltage technicians. What You’ll Do Pull, route, label, and dress low‑voltage and electrical cabling (CAT6, access control, CCTV, fire alarm, MC/BX). Assist electricians/mechanics with device installs, mounting hardware, and basic rough‑in tasks. Use standard hand/power tools (crimpers, punch‑down, cordless drill; basic test tools). Stage materials, keep work areas organized, and support site safety practices. Follow direction from leads/foremen and document daily progress as needed. What You’ll Bring 1–3+ years as an electrical helper, apprentice, or cable tech (commercial environment preferred). Basic understanding of low‑voltage/electrical installations; able to read simple diagrams or take direction to spec. Reliable transportation, punctuality, and strong communication on active job sites. Ability to lift/pull/carry materials and work on ladders as required. Nice to have: exposure to NEC basics or trade school; experience with Honeywell/DSC/Silent Knight or similar. Schedule & Environment Full‑time, on‑site; overtime may be available based on project timelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
