Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career or Electrical Battery Test Engineer. As part of the Assembly Test and Launch Operations (ATLO) organization at Lockheed Martin Space, we are passionate about systems integration and test engineering, and we tackle the toughest challenges in the industry every day. Our team is built on a foundation of unique skills and experiences, and we empower our employees to think boldly, perform with excellence, and drive innovation. As a Electrical Battery Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future by designing, developing, and testing cutting-edge spacecraft batteries, systems, and test equipment alongside a diverse and talented team. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of navigating engineering drawings and technical documentation and basic systems engineering concepts. Must be a US Citizen.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or in a related discipline.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of navigating engineering drawings and technical documentation and basic systems engineering concepts
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and the ability to understand the relationship between hardware, software, and electrical systems
  • Experience writing/executing test procedures
  • Understanding and ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems
  • Familiarity with computerized data acquisition and automated test control systems and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with electrical test/measurement equipment: Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Time and project management skills
  • Test lab experience including hazardous/destructive testing and environments testing (e.g., vibration, shock, TVAC, etc.)
  • Able to communicate complex technical ideas to an audience with varied technical backgrounds
  • Programming experience within the LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, and/or VBA software development environments
