About The Position

We design, install, and maintain advanced electrical systems. Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems. Job Summary Miller - The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager (s) for projects they are assigned to. Responsible for supporting the Project Manager to manage and oversee all aspects related to project management, financial performance, scheduling, and change order management. Establish and maintain outstanding customer relationships. Ensure project goals are met. Execute best practices and adhere to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years as an Assistant Project Manager over commercial electrical work
  • A good understanding of how to read electrical drawings and specifications
  • Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders
  • Have knowledge of various aspects of construction (labor, materials, equipment, methods, etc.) as well as an understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time
  • Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc.), paired with industry experience OR an overall appropriate combination of certification(s), experience, and education (journeyman or master electrician’s license)
