About The Position

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Assembly Solder. The Electrical Assembly Solder is responsible for the soldering and wire crimping of electrical assemblies for gas turbine engines. This position is for 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm). Additionally, the Electrical Assembly Solder will: Fabricate electrical assemblies Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements. Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operations Solder wires and other electronic components Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required Package parts her handling requirements, including ESD requirements Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments and HASS equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping
  • Ability to assemble circuit boards and wire harnesses
  • Ability to read and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructions
  • Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).
  • Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy
  • US Citizenship required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
