About The Position

Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Electrical Assembler – 1 st Shift to join our team in Lincoln, NE. Job Location: Lincoln, NE Shift: 1 st Shift (7:00 AM– 3:30 PM, M-F as scheduled by management with daily, weekends and holidays overtime as needed.)

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred
  • Experience: Read and write English
  • Able to read tape measure
  • Lifting no less than 25lbs
  • Detail-oriented
  • Simple computer skills to enter data and open files as required.
  • Proficient in using various hand and wiring tools, including various power tools.
  • Clear understanding of Ohms, Amps, and volts.
  • Proficient in the use of multimeters and other electrical testing equipment used in the testing and troubleshooting of circuits.
  • Clear understanding of electric/electronic components: PLC’s, Transformers, Capacitors, Relays, and others as required.
  • Knowledge of logic in circuitry, the workings of electrical components, and their function within a circuit.
  • Perform all established electrical testing functions, including electrical simulated fire tests.
  • Ability to work well with fellow employees, including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem-solving.
  • Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains productivity levels according to plant goals.
  • Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.
  • Properly reports labor
  • Interpret instructions.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Read an assembly parts list.
  • Mount back panel devices and wire per schematics.
  • Lays out and wires control panel and junction boxes
  • Makes terminations / connections
  • Fasten wiring
  • Knows how and where to mount components
  • Inspect and test completed units.
  • Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
  • Cut, trim and strip wire
  • Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections.
  • Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Measure dimensions/clearance of parts.
  • Cuts and mounts panel and electrical conduit
  • Train others to install, use, or maintain equipment.
  • All other duties assigned
