The Electrical Assembler position at Scientific Products involves preparing and assembling mechanical systems and components under supervision. The role requires interpreting technical documentation, wiring and installing electrical components, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The assembler will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining a clean work environment, and adhering to safety protocols.

  • Prepare and assemble various segments of mechanical systems and top-level assemblies as well as lower-level components and sub-assemblies under supervision.
  • Interpret and use drawings, process procedures, and other documentation for assembly tasks.
  • Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components in freeze dryers according to specifications.
  • Meet specification requirements and quality standards in a cost-effective manner.
  • Track expenditures and suggest improvements for operations and cost savings.
  • Prepare and assemble segments of electro-mechanical systems and sub-assemblies under supervision.
  • Work with control applications including servos, AC/DC motors, and pneumatics.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical systems as required.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area, completing 5S duties.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and timely as required in the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Assist other production departments based on workloads and needs.
  • Minimum high school graduate level required.
  • Ability to perform shop math.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Minimum 5 years of electro-mechanical building experience is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to work with various voltages, including high voltage applications (440 VAC).
  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) relative to the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • PLC experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
