Plans and performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly, tests, fabrications, and inspection operations on various products in standard and non-standard environments to maintain flow of work.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience with electronic assembly
  • Experience in the aerospace industry
  • Experience working with solder
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • J-STD or IPC-610 experience/certification
  • Experience with blueprints or schematics
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

  • Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure products meet specifications and tolerance levels.
  • Performs functional testing using established test procedures and records all results accurately.
  • Will troubleshoot down to the component level.
  • Monitors test completion, maintains test equipment, and documents acceptance or failure outcomes.
  • Operates hand tools, machine tools, and electronic/mechanical test equipment safely and effectively.
  • Loads and unloads electronic units in test beds while adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Utilizes SAP and computer-based systems to follow work instructions and meet production schedules.
  • Participates in continuous improvement (CORE), safety, and waste minimization initiatives.
  • Collaborates across departments to resolve issues, trains others as needed, and supports audits and compliance activities.
