Electrical Apprentice - Get Volts Primary Accountabilities: The Electrical Apprentice assists skilled electricians in various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, and industrial setting, The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and will be required to assist in material handling, site preparation, equipment setup, and cleanup. US Citizenship is required for this opportunity. About the Apprenticeship Program Journeyman Program Pathways We offer two pathways to qualify for the Journeyman Electrician License: Apprenticeship Program (ABC or IEC) Four-year apprenticeship program through ABC or IEC Classes are held two days per week Students must maintain required grades and attendance Apprentices are responsible for registering directly with the apprenticeship school Upon successful completion of the four-year program, candidates may schedule the Journeyman exam with PSI Work Experience Pathway Completion of 8,000 hours of hands-on electrical experience with a registered electrical company as an unregistered apprentice 4,000 hours residential electrical and 4,000 hours commercial electrical, or 8,000 hours of commercial electrical experience Once the required hours are verified, PSI (the licensing agency) will authorize the candidate to schedule the Journeyman licensing exam
