About The Position

The Electrical Apprentice position at JR Automation involves working alongside a cross-functional team to design, build, program, and deploy custom automated equipment and solutions. The role requires understanding schematics, wiring panels, and troubleshooting electrical issues across various industries, including construction, residential, commercial, and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience in construction, residential, commercial, or manufacturing industries.
  • Related vocational education or Journeyman's card preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of schematic interpretation, panel building, machine wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Fork Lift), Aerial Platform, and Overhead Crane license.
  • Lock Out Tag Out training.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble equipment according to approved design and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot wiring and circuits effectively and safely.
  • Wire according to NEC standards.
  • Read and understand schematics.
  • Document and communicate changes and problems.
  • Assist with the execution of ISO/Quality Standards.
  • Communicate with the project team on open issues and progress during the build process.
  • Assist with the successful execution of assigned programs related to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
