About The Position

Join our team as a hands-on Electrical and Maintenance Technician supporting the operation and reliability of critical water treatment equipment and control systems. In this role, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical systems while working with PLC and HMI controls to keep processes running smoothly. You’ll diagnose equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help maintain facility and rental assets. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with advanced systems, and contributing to safe, efficient operations. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of experience. (Commercial/Industrial experience preferred.)
  • Ability to pass a drug, or other related, screenings as required by specific client locations. Valid unexpired driver's license.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and excellent organization and housekeeping skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation and Robotics (EART) or a related field.
  • Electrical Journeyman apprentice preferred.
  • Practical experience in water treatment equipment electrical, or working knowledge of water treatment systems and operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control devices (flow, level, pressure, pH, turbidity, TSS, valves, VFDs).
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and make minor modifications to PLC and HMI control systems.
  • Configure networking equipment and telemetry systems.
  • Monitor equipment, meters, and gauges to identify performance issues and system needs.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical components including pumps, drives, reducers, and valves.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection of pumps, compressors, drivers, and control systems.
  • Maintain electrical switchgear, power distribution, and facility equipment.
  • Ensure equipment and rental units are safe, operational, and compliant with safety and environmental standards.
  • Support facility operations including equipment handling, inspections, and coordination with third-party maintenance.
  • Document work, maintain organized work areas, collaborate with the team, and mentor coworkers.
