The purpose of this position is to ensure all plant equipment and facilities are inspected, maintained, and repaired in a timely manner. Performs electrical job assignments under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Superintendents. Responsible for installation, calibration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various instrumentation devices within the operation. The functions include but are not limited to the operation of valves, controllers, transmitters, positioners, PLC's, pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic lines. Responsible for installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical equipment and devices within the operation using available instructions, manuals and schematic diagrams. The functions include but are not limited to the operation and troubleshooting of motors, motor starters, motor controllers, inverters, electrical switchgear, lighting and all electrical circuits from DC up to and including 4160V. Write purchase requisitions, work orders, look up purchase orders, requisitions and work orders, and look up parts in storeroom, and train and use other software within the company as needed via computer. Performs and documents workplace and mobile equipment inspections. Safely and efficiently perform preventative maintenance and electrical repairs. Identify equipment operational problems and causes of breakdowns and make repairs to same. Effectively communicate to identify operational and equipment inefficiencies. Safely and efficiently operate stationary and mobile equipment, hand and power tools, and other equipment necessary to perform all job functions. Work and coordinate with supervisors and other employees to strive for continuous improvement, safety and operational efficiency. Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
