Position Summary: This Full Time position will implement, maintain, recondition, repair, troubleshoot, adjust, construct, and/or upgrade various types of electrical & instrumentation equipment. In addition, the E&I Tech will maintain control and automation systems, PLC and HMI, electronic and pneumatic equipment, compressor stations, pump stations, plant operations and measurement facilities.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation and Robotics (EART) or a related field.
  • Ability to pass a drug, or other related, screenings as required by specific client locations.
  • Industrial E&I Technician Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Controls & Automation – PLC and industrial electrical panel experience, including troubleshooting power supplies, communication cards, HMIs, breakers, contactors, and limit switches, as well as VFD programming and troubleshooting.
  • Electrical Systems – Experience working with 480V three-phase motors and motor controls, along with hands-on experience with 24V circuits.
  • Instrumentation – Experience with 4–20 mA instrumentation and communication systems, and the ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Leadership / Experience – Four or more years of practical experience in plant operations as electrical lead.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation including flow meters, level transmitters, pressure sensors, pH probes, TSS and turbidity meters, valves, VFDs, and other process control instruments using 4–20 mA communication systems.
  • Read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems.
  • Operate PLC and HMI control systems and perform minor PLC or HMI modifications to support process optimization and operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical control panels including power supplies, communication cards, HMIs, breakers, contactors, and limit switches.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain VFDs used to control pumps, motors, and other plant equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including 480V three-phase motors, motor controls, and 24V control circuits.
  • Diagnose and repair plant equipment including electric pumps, drive units, reducers, pneumatic valves, and solenoid valves used in plant operations.
  • Monitor equipment performance by inspecting gauges, meters, and operating conditions to detect issues and determine load requirements.
  • Configure networking devices and telemetry systems used for plant monitoring and remote system communication.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and Inspection & Maintenance (I&M) checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, control systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain electrical switchgear and plant power distribution systems.
  • Support the general upkeep and maintenance of facilities, control systems, and plant equipment as needed.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety or environmental concerns while performing all work in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Prioritize daily operational and maintenance activities while working effectively within a team environment.
  • Document maintenance activities and operational data using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and other office software.
  • Support operational excellence initiatives and mentor team members when opportunities arise.
  • Coordinate or oversee construction and maintenance activities performed by third-party contractors.
