About The Position

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at WIN Waste Innovations is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspection, calibration, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment throughout the facility. This role is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient operations, requiring a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to perform various technical tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the Industrial or Power Industry Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Field, or 2 years as a 3rd class E&I Technician with required training/experience.
  • Licenses as necessary to comply with State, Environmental, and/or Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance procedures safely and professionally.
  • Initiate and complete work-orders and requisitions, documenting all critical information routinely.
  • Respond to emergency repairs during off hours as needed.
  • Travel to other company facilities for technical support when required.
  • Identify and address improvement opportunities with minimal supervision.
  • Complete Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the prescribed time frame.
  • Use basic and precision measuring tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Follow standard safety procedures and report hazards to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, using various communication systems.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot equipment problems with minimal supervision.
  • Operate industrial forklifts, manlifts, and other mobile equipment.
