The Supply Chain Electrical Controls Engineer at Körber will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical control systems within the supply chain. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient and reliable operations, troubleshooting issues, and integrating new technologies to enhance supply chain performance. This position is based in Irving, Texas and reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.

  • Develop and implement electrical control systems for supply chain operations, including automation and robotics.
  • Analyze current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with electrical control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain operations and prepare incident reports using PSM methodology.
  • Work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering teams to integrate control systems with other operational processes.
  • Provide onsite and remote support. Work with team to resolve complex situations.
  • Ensure all electrical control systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of system designs, modifications, and performance metrics.
  • Develop documentation such as technical bulletins and OEM Manuals.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new systems and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Controls, Automation or equivalent combination of education and minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing electrical control systems, preferably within a supply chain or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electrical schematics (Control Panels, Motor Control Panels, Motor Control Centers, Power Distributions).
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Experience in loading software, GUI navigation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with ladder logic programming on Allen Bradley and Siemens family PLC's.
  • Proficient with mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience in CAD tools and simulation software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks.
  • Experience working with PLC's HMI's VFD's, MCC's and electrical power distribution systems.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks.
  • Dependable with a great work ethic and attendance.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience establishing a good working relationship with customers and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Driving license in good standing is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, as needed, to meet customers' demands.
  • IEEE certification preferred.
