About The Position

The Electrical and Automation Technician position at the Manawa location provides support to the Maintenance department, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Work with PLCs, servo motors, safety devices, drives, and automation networks. Diagnose and repair defective mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to optimize electrical and automation system performance and minimize downtime. Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks according to the monthly schedule. Document repair times, tools, and parts used in SAP. Collaborate with operators and technicians to troubleshoot failures, enhance skills, and maintain safety and compliance. This is a full-time, permanent role starting at $37.23/hour + $1.50 differential for the following positions: 12-hour nights, which operates from 6pm-6am, on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in an Industrial Electrical Technical Field or Electrical Industrial Journeyman is preferred, or equivalent field related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, servos, and electrical prints.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• High attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude.
