  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting of existing electrical and automation systems (PLCs, VFDs, MMI, Service Panels & MCCs, sensors/instruments, valves/motors, Wonderware System Platform – including VMs and thin clients, Manufacturing Execution System/MES, industrial Ethernet networks, control panels, circuit breakers, etc.)
  • Complete incident investigations for downtime and quality deviations to determine root cause and propose or implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain accuracy and content of the electrical system key documentation
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on power distribution and automation equipment
  • Ensure power quality
  • Keep electrical power distribution and automation drawings and documentation updated
  • Support maintenance in the instrument calibration program
  • Perform troubleshooting in case of problems and ensure the PLC or HMI applications are properly managed
  • Modify the automation applications when operational changes are performed on the production lines
  • Manage industrial applications and hardware in the automation layer
  • Maintain the reliability and the performance of the Factory Automation System (FAS) IT infrastructure and peer to peer networks
  • Participate in regular operational reviews, continuous improvement and DMAIC activities
  • Meet compliance with all Nestle and local regulatory standards and requirements in collaboration with Group E&A teams, local authorities
  • Manage Electricity and Automation equipment standardization for plant
  • Build internal capabilities providing coaching/training to mechanics and operators on the shop floor
  • Develop and implement Digital automation solutions (Ex. DMO, Vibration, Robots, etc.) in facility to push plant into the digital future.
  • Ensure existing electrical and automation systems are properly maintained
  • Analyze the current E&A systems and install base to ensure continued maintainability and support; develop roadmap or masterplan where necessary
  • Ensure Explosive Atmosphere maintenance support and safety standard compliance.
  • Conduct estimation, and execution of medium to large scale electrical/automation projects
  • Develop and implement project descriptions, plans, timelines, resource requirements, costs, etc.
  • Interface with vendors, develop bid specifications, participate in design reviews, and factory acceptance testing
  • Oversee installations and verify compliance with NFPA, OSHA and Nestle standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (Preferred)
  • Associate’s Degree that relates to controls, automation, electrical power, computer science, and/or electro mechanical fields and 2+ years of related experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required for projects & on-call support in a 24 * 7 manufacturing facility
  • Minimal travel (typically 0-20% for personal development training and project related site/vendor visits)
  • Deep expertise in at least one of the following areas: PLC programming, Scada - Wonderware System Platform, Power distribution, and Ignition (with willingness to grow/develop in the areas lacking expertise)
  • 2+ years engineering experience relating to industrial controls, MES, power distribution, and/or IT (Preferred)
  • Some expertise in multiple areas out of: PLC programming using Rockwell Automation Platform Control Logix, Wonderware System Platform, Ignition, power distribution, control panel design, Motion Control, MES, networking, project management, IT (VMs, Thin Clients, servers, software installs, security, etc.)
  • Rockwell Software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000/500/5, Factory Talk Asset Centre, RSLinx, RSNetworx, etc.)
  • Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, Panelviews
  • Wonderware System Platform (Archestra, InTouch, Historian, MES, etc.) and/or Ignition
  • Industrial Networking (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, IO Link)
  • National Electric Code and NFPA 70E
  • Design/Maintenance of Electrical Systems (480 VAC 3 Phase, 120 VAC Single Phase, 24 VDC)
