About The Position

This position must be able to perform routine construction work safely and efficiently. Assists with hot line work and aerial equipment operations. Follows maps and routine instructions in specifications and staking sheets; makes common connections properly on distribution transformers and protective apparatus, meter loops and primary circuits. Checks voltages and determines proper operation of ordinary equipment

Requirements

Experienced with at least 5 years of electric utility line
HS graduate or GED, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Willing to work in all kinds of weather
Good driving & safety record
Valid Texas CDL with an Air Brake Endorsement
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before members or employees of the Cooperative
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Pass a pre-employment urinalysis drug screen
Consent to permit the Cooperative's designated medical doctor to perform a physical examination as prescribed by the Cooperative
