About The Position

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) is seeking qualified candidates for two senior engineering positions: Market Operations Engineer Sr. and GMS Application Engineer Sr. These roles are critical for monitoring system conditions, ensuring market stability, and providing support for energy management systems. Both positions offer the flexibility of telecommuting up to three days a week from within Texas.

Requirements

• Experience in market operations and system monitoring.
• Strong understanding of energy management systems and power systems applications.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex operational issues.

• Familiarity with ERCOT market operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system conditions and market performance to ensure market stability.
• Support wholesale market and grid operations.
• Work with Market Participants to resolve wholesale market and grid operations issues.
• Provide support for Energy Management Systems (EMS) power systems applications portfolio.
• Manage applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Frequency Control, Dynamic Stability Analysis, Load Forecasting, and Operator Training Simulator (OTS).
