Electric Operations ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining. An Electric Quality Control Specialist, Expert conducts field and desktop assessments on PG&E’s electric distribution and transmission facilities. These work assessments focus on verifying the quality of overhead (OH) and underground (UG) inspections as required by California Public Utility Commission Order (CPUC GO) 165. May be assigned to perform assessments on distribution or transmission facilities in the field or in an office as described in Letter Agreement 24-15. Per Letter Agreement 24-15, Electric Quality Control Specialist are in 2-year lock commitment. This position is subject to travel throughout PG&E Service territory with overnight stays based on the business needs of the role. This position will be utilized to fill positions throughout PG&E Service territory in the North Coast, North Valley, Central, and Southern Regions that are headquartered in Chico, Tracy, and/or Lemoore subject to change on business needs. PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $ 78.11 per hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
