About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Distribution Section Manager to join our Electric Distribution Team in Houston, TX, where you’ll lead project teams supporting grid modernization, system reliability, and energy transition initiatives. In this management‑level role, you’ll oversee complex distribution programs, mentor technical staff, and partner closely with clients to deliver solutions that strengthen communities and support a more resilient energy future.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience required; minimum of 2 years of project management experience required
• Proven ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule while balancing multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other management software required; knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred
• High-energy, results-oriented, strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
• Ability to inspire trust, build relationships, and foster collaboration across the organization
• An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups

Nice To Haves

• PMP, PE or equivalent professional license preferred

Responsibilities

• Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to electric distribution projects from initial assessment through planning and design
• Collaborate with Electric Distribution team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
• Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical initiatives
• Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase
