About The Position

The Electric Cart Driver is responsible for driving any ABM Electric Shuttle Carts. Effective operating current technology requires tracking and processing work orders. Always perform equipment Pre-Ops check at the beginning of the shift in accordance with the ES&H manual. Adhere to all ADA and Air Carrier Access Act non-discrimination requirements. Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in Basic English language.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, employee handbooks, and passenger boarding documents.
  • Must be able to effectively present information, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employees must comply with the Company's uniform and grooming standards and must wear his or her SIDA badge/Airport ID at all times.
  • Employees must comply with all guidelines and policies outlined in the Employee Handbook. These policies include, but are not limited to, the Company's Zero Tolerance Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Retaliation Policy, Ethics Policy, and Security Policy.
  • Employees must also comply with regulatory agency requirements, including, but not limited to, the ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA, and Federal, State, and Local authorities.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have Driver's License without negative points (We conduct MVR for Driving Roles)
  • Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge, and Customs Seal , including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
  • Must be willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and three days from the weekdays. (total of 5 days)
  • You will have two consecutive day-offs in between Monday and Friday
  • For the SIDA BADGE CLEARANCES PURPOSES, you are required to bring the following documents: Identification with Current Address (Choose one) Driver's License Citizenship Verification (Choose one) US Citizens: US Passport or US Birth Certificate/Naturalization WITH SSN Foreign Nationals: Green Card or Employment Authorization Document (EAD) accompanied by SSN Card (if a green card is not available) EAD Categories NOT ELIGIBLE for SIDA security clearance: A10, A11, C08, C10 (ineligible to be hired by IAD ABM)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Passenger Service Responsible for transporting passengers needing electric cart assistance inside the airport terminal.
