Purpose of Position Perform a wide range of electrical and mechanical operations associated with the maintenance, repair, set-up and adjustment of all types of department machines, equipment, support equipment, and environmental waste handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to work overtime as requested
  • Minimum five years hands-on experience in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Must be able to correctly read and interpret instruments and gages.
  • Mathematical skills with knowledge to apply mathematical calculations to analyze basic circuit loads.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code.
  • Knowledge of discrete inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
  • Knowledge of analog (4-20ma, 0-5V, 0-10V) inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
  • Difference between sourcing and sinking inputs and outputs in relation to a PLC.
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong Communication Skills, both Verbal and Written.
  • Demonstrates problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade School desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain thorough working, set-up and operating knowledge of machines, equipment and processes.
  • Remove, replace, align and adjust all mechanical parts and units.
  • Diagnose machine or equipment trouble and determine type and extent of repairs necessary.
  • Tear down unit, repair or replace worn, broken or defective parts, reassemble set-up and try-out; make necessary adjustments to insure proper operation and quality production.
  • Follow an established preventive maintenance schedule and perform a complete check out on each machine, as required
  • Perform other duties as required.
