About The Position

The Elder Benefit Specialist (EBS) plays a crucial role in assisting customers in accessing public and private benefits. This position involves providing technical assistance, information about customer rights, and representation at hearings, ensuring that seniors and other eligible individuals receive the benefits they are entitled to.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of public and private benefits available to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in customer service or a related field.
• Ability to research and interpret complex benefit information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating and gathering financial and non-financial information needed to apply for public and private benefits.
• Guide customers through the application process for benefits.
• Research benefit information and follow up to ensure accurate processing of applications.
• Provide timely and accurate information about eligibility for public and private benefits and the application process.
• Utilize State and Federal websites, including CARES and Forward Health, to assist with applications.
