About The Position

The ELC Business Administrator for the NC Pre-K Childcare Network is responsible for the implementation and administration of state Pre-K programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with North Carolina's Pre-K requirements, providing training and technical assistance to staff, and collaborating with management to meet contractual obligations and program standards.

Requirements

  • Post High School Education is a plus; state-required certifications are necessary.
  • 3-5 years of knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Pre-K Program requirements at the state level.
  • Experience in early childhood education is preferred.
  • Understanding of NC PreK Program requirements and guidance documents.
  • Ability to train and provide technical assistance with appropriate documentation and training materials.
  • Flexibility in time management and approach to training.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized.
  • Basic computer skills are helpful.
  • Customer service focused.

Responsibilities

  • Work with NC PreK Program Manager to ensure NC PreK applications are completed and submitted on time.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met at each school, including tracking staff certifications and continuing education.
  • Monitor and reconcile monthly NC PreK attendance against payments.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with Directors regarding program compliance and needs.
  • Attend at least one provider meeting annually in each market, including local or state level NC PreK meetings.
  • Ensure incidents are reported and documents are sent as requested, while informing the Region Director and NC PreK Program Manager.
  • Monitor adherence to requirements related to county and statewide platforms, including TS Gold.
  • Notify agency of any operational changes, such as Director changes or tuition changes.
  • Provide technical assistance and training related to NC PreK guidance and best practices to Directors and Assistant Directors.
  • Represent CNI at state and local meetings as needed.
