About The Position
We are seeking a patient and skilled ELA tutor to support a 70-year-old adult learner. The focus of instruction will be on improving oral communication skills and strengthening reading comprehension.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with adult learners
- Reliable availability during morning hours only (no evening sessions due to caregiving schedule constraints)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
Nice To Haves
- Experience tutoring or teaching ELA/reading preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ELA tutoring sessions twice per week
- Focus on reading comprehension strategies and verbal communication skills
- Adapt instruction to support adult learning needs and pacing
- Maintain consistency and encourage learner confidence and progress
