About The Position

We are looking for passionate ELA Teacher to join our team! The ELA Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and informative English Language Arts instruction to 4th grade students. This role involves creating and implementing lesson plans that align with state standards, fostering a love for reading, writing and supporting students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. What you will be doing Designing and implementing ELA lessons and units that are age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with our curriclum and educational standards Teaching core literacy concepts through engaging ELA instruction, including reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary development, and critical thinking skills. Students explore texts through interactive discussions, writing activities, and collaborative learning experiences. Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and curiosity. Evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and observations; provide timely feedback to students and parents. Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students, including those with special educational needs. Work with other teachers, school staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience and participate in school events and activities. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in science education and pedagogical techniques. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification for elementary education and/or English Language Arts.
  • Prior teaching experience, particularly in elementary or middle school education, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of science concepts and curriculum.
  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for ELA and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
