Evaluates, instructs and improves English proficiency using proven, research based instructional practices Experience administering the OELPA Knowledgeable of State and federal requirements Implements programs of study Provides evaluation and testing for non-English speaking and limited proficiency Provides instruction to each ESL/LEP student appropriate to his/her level as determined by formal Provides periodic written reports to parents of ESL/LEP students in regard to child’s progress. Provides referral to existing guidance and counseling as well as other support resources within the district where Provides assessment for newly arriving non-English speaking Confers with classroom teachers regarding each student’s program and provides content area teachers with strategies for working with English Language learners. Participates in in-service and teacher training provided by the Meets with ESL Coordinator at regular Provides support and resource information classroom Assist testing coordinators in the planning and implementing of state standardized tests.
