1. Provide assistance in the implementation of the language assistance program through collaboration with the contact-area teachers. 2. Instruct students both individually and in groups as directed by the EL Coordinator. 3. Provide assistance in fostering understanding and respect for a variety of cultural backgrounds. 4. Observe classroom teacher's instruction and then supplements support for EL students in the classroom. 5. Assist with pupil behavior under the direction of the certified teacher. 6. Meet regularly with the EL Coordinator for training to ensure consistent teaching practices throughout the ESL program. 7. Demonstrate the ability to work harmoniously with all persons in the school and community. 8. Regular and timely attendance is an essential job function of this position. 9. Performs duties as assigned by the EL Coordinator and building principal. 10. This is a grant funded position.
