About The Position

EKG Technician Location: VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) – Multiple Sites Contract Period: Base Year + Three Option Years Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Hourly: 31.25/hr plus 4.93 for Health and Wellness Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and stress tests. Assist in monitoring heart rhythms and arrhythmias. Set up and maintain EKG equipment for accurate readings. Instruct and prepare patients for cardiac monitoring procedures. Recognize and report abnormal cardiac patterns to medical staff. Maintain patient records and ensure test results are properly documented. Minimum Qualifications Qualifications: Completion of an accredited EKG Technician program . Certification as a Certified EKG Technician (CET) preferred. Minimum one year of EKG experience . Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and physiology. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited EKG Technician program
  • Minimum one year of EKG experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and physiology.
