About The Position

Responsible for recording electrocardiograms on adult and geriatric inpatients and outpatients as ordered by a physician. Responsible for transmitting and processing EKG reports and evaluating tracings for technical quality and abnormalities. Performs diagnostic scanning of holter and event reports. Maintains equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six months experience working in a patient care environment
• Capable of learning medical terminology and basic EKG interpretation
• Capable of using basic computer software
• Capable of learning skills to operate electrocardiographic equipment including EKG machine, holter monitors and event recorders.
