To perform a variety of diagnostic cardiology procedures which will assist in the diagnosis of cardiac disease including: EKG's, Stress Tests, Holter Monitoring, and assisting with Nuclear Stress Tests. Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED

Responsibilities

• Performs EKGs, downloads into the MUSE, and edits reports
• Charges and documents patient testing. Prepares reports for the physician
• Performs routine cleaning, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to include coordination of maintenance with other departments and outside service coordinator
• Performs and assists the physician with cardiac stress testing (treadmill and thallium)
• Applies Holter Monitoring, performs scanning, and prepares reports
• Responds to Code Blue as needed
• Follows hospital policies and procedures, supports and performs performance improvement activities, and assists with the preparation of monthly statistic reports
• Works within the department as part of the team
