About The Position

EKG Technician Part-Time, 12 hr.| first shift BHCOR-Respiratory I Corbin, KY Cardiopulmonary Services & Neurodiagnostic-(Respiratory)-The scope of the diagnostic and therapeutic services provided by the Cardiopulmonary & Neurodiagnostic Department will include Respiratory Care Therapies, EKG, Holter Monitor Services, and EEG Studies. Responsible for hook-up and scanning of Holter and Event Monitors on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Records and processes 12 lead electrocardiographic recordings for diagnostic purposes for all patient populations. Perform clerical duties as necessary for completion and processing of all testing modalities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic Life Support required.
  • New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
  • Must obtain Basic Arrhythmia and 12 Lead EKG Course within 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a physician’s office, transcription pool, or as a department secretary preferred.
  • Previous EKG and computer experience preferred.
  • Certification as cardio graphic technologist preferred.
