About The Position

Reporting to the Lead Sonographer Cardiovascular, Cardiovascular Testing, this position is responsible for performing cardio stress testing, ECG exams, Holter Monitor application and removal and ensuring proper documentation and clerical duties associated with the exams. This position is accountable for recognizing abnormal results and reporting to physicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Minimum score of 80% on the SAMC entry level EKG recognition exam within six months of hire is required.
• Previous 12-lead EKG experience is preferred.
