EKG Stress Technician, Diagnostic Cardiology, PRN, Baptist Beaches
About The Position
Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add an EKG/Stress Technician in our Diagnostic Cardiology Unit at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is a PRN, Day shift opportunity. As an EKG/Stress Technician, you will be responsible for: Properly placing leads and performing EKGs with accuracy, ensuring clear tracings and high-quality results for physician interpretation. Maintaining detailed and organized work logs, while efficiently sending orders and completed studies to reading physicians in a timely manner. Preparing patients for stress testing (regular, nuclear, and echo) by properly prepping skin, ensuring patient comfort, and providing clear instructions to ease anxiety. Placing monitors and obtaining vital signs, while observing patient status and reporting any abnormal findings immediately to supervising clinicians. Providing assistance and reassurance to patients undergoing stress testing, offering both clinical support and compassionate care to enhance the overall patient experience. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiology team to support seamless patient care and uphold departmental standards. Adhering to safety protocols, infection control policies, and maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment to promote efficiency and patient safety. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-2 years Experience performing EKG
- Experience performing Holter application
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
