The EIS Facilities Planning Project Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities necessary to implement various information systems, including managing the following project responsibilities: system requirements definition, process and/or workflow redesign, vendor evaluation and contract negotiation (if applicable), implementation coordination with operations and other EIS departments, as well as transition to support functions. Responsible for developing and managing detailed project budgets and schedules, status reports, project Power Point presentations, and escalation of critical issues. Coordinates communication between all project team members and operational partners, ensures vendor responsiveness and compliance with the terms of the contract (if applicable), and coordinates initial user training/transition to an ongoing user support group. Provides project management expertise for entire project life cycle. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating the following functions: system requirements definition, process and/or workflow redesign, business case development, Request for Proposal development, vendor evaluation and selection, and contract negotiation and development. Ensures contract compliance, risk analysis, project scope, implementation management, and support transition. Responsible for working with our operational partners in developing and planning the project timeline including all project phases-requirements, workflow, Q/A and testing, end-user training, go-live readiness and support. Projecting resource requirements, ensuring appropriate assignment of resources to each project/support phase, adding and deleting resources as necessary, and has overall responsibility for completion of the project. Leads and manages the project within established time and budget parameters. Provides informative and timely status reports using department reporting procedures for both internal EIS and external operational customers. Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in the field through participation with vendor user groups, attending conferences, vendor demonstrations, and interacting with other vendor customers. Maintains a strong understanding of system development and project management methodologies. Responds thoroughly and promptly to customer needs as defined in conjunction with customers. Assumes ownership of customer relationships and follows issues through to closure. Hybrid Remote = must currently live in Los Angeles area or willing to relocate to LA area for onsite requirements
