About The Position

The EHS Training & Systems Specialist serves as the system owner for Cority (EHS management software), responsible for configuration, support, change management, and data governance. This role ensures effective system use for environmental permit tracking, assessments, incident investigations, and assignment/closure of corrective actions. The position also administers the enterprise EHS document control program and the SharePoint repository. In partnership with Learning & Development (L&D), the role audits content and authors structured outlines/storyboards that L&D converts into training courses, ensuring consistent, compliant, and scalable training across divisions. This is an individual contributor role with enterprise influence. Based at Bass Pro Shops Base Camp in Springfield, MO.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of experience: 3–5 years in EHS training and compliance program management or EHS systems administration across multi-site operations.
  • Proficiency with EHS management systems; Cority administrator experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and environmental program requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive consistency across diverse operations.

  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Education, or a related field (if applicable)
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): CSP or other relevant EHS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as system owner and administrator for Cority across the enterprise (Incidents, Audits/Inspections, Action/CAPA, Environmental/Permits, Assessments, Dashboards/Reporting, and contracted modules).
  • Configure and maintain workflows, permissions, forms, and notifications; manage user enablement and vendor coordination.
  • Own the enterprise EHS document control program (templates, versioning, approvals, and review schedules).
  • Administer SharePoint repositories and ensure accurate, current documentation distribution.
  • Curate EHS content and coordinate with L&D to develop training outlines and courses for compliance programs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and continuous education for EHS and compliance personnel.
  • Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance for EHS systems, training, and documentation.
