About The Position

A crucial role within our organization. Sets the standard for safety for all employees. Organize information so it is easily accessible. Handles all site compliance and reporting for environmental, health, safety and regulatory matters. The EHS Technician/Coordinator plays a key supporting role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role assists with daily site inspections, safety training, reporting, and coordination of environmental, health, and safety programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to grow within the EHS function.

Requirements

  • Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety or related with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an EHS role.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on environment and learn from experienced EHS professionals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, follow instructions, and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily site inspections to identify potential environmental, health, and safety (EHS) risks.
  • Assist in monitoring EHS compliance and maintaining accurate inspection records.
  • Help coordinate and document monthly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Participate in safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in conducting new hire EHS orientation and maintaining training records.
  • Support the management of safety data sheets (SDS) and hazardous materials inventory.
  • Help prepare and maintain documentation for regulatory reporting (OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) under guidance.
  • Assist with waste handling procedures and environmental compliance tasks.
  • Contribute to job hazard analysis (JHA) and risk assessments.
  • Provide administrative support to the EHS department, including organizing documentation, preparing reports, and tracking training compliance.
  • Participate in emergency drills and help coordinate emergency response training.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and facility teams to promote a culture of safety.
